I didn't start this brand to sell T-shirts. I started it the year I stopped going outside.

After a decade of chasing ambition in cities — promotions, apartments, the whole architecture of a life that looked right from the outside — I realized I had traded the one thing that made me feel real. The mountains. The silence. The particular kind of exhaustion that comes from moving your body through wild terrain.

I had gotten small. Not in the way people mean when they talk about humility. Small in the way that happens when you stop testing yourself against anything bigger than a quarterly review.

The first trip back was brutal. I was out of shape, underprepared, and completely unprepared for how much I had missed it.

On the second day, above the treeline, I sat on a boulder and watched the light change on the peaks for forty minutes. I didn't check my phone. I didn't think about anything I was supposed to be doing. I just watched the mountains be enormous.

That's when I understood what I'd been missing. Not the exercise. Not the scenery. The scale. The reminder that the world is incomprehensibly large and you are a small, temporary thing moving through it — and that this is not a tragedy. It's a relief.

The name came from that boulder. Back in bigness. Back in the thing that makes everything else make sense.
